Council Proposes Installation of CCTV Cameras in Barellan Township to Enhance Safety

In an effort to further enhance safety and security in the Barellan township, Narrandera Shire Council is proposing the installation of four CCTV cameras in key areas of the community. This proposal comes in response to local requests and aims to deter anti-social behaviour, improve public safety, and assist in crime prevention.

The proposed CCTV cameras will be strategically located in areas identified by the local community and Council as needing greater surveillance.

"We are committed to ensuring Barellan remains a safe and welcoming place for all. The addition of these CCTV cameras is an important step toward enhancing public safety, supporting our local businesses, and fostering a sense of security throughout the community," said Narrandera Shire Council Mayor, Cr Neville Kschenka.

"We value the input of our residents, and we want to ensure that this proposal meets the needs of the community while balancing privacy and security."
