Narrandera Shire Council advises that works will commence on the Old Wagga Road upgrade Monday 31 March 2025.

The Road will be closed form Showground Road to the Rocky Waterholes intersection for essential safety upgrade works. The closure will be in effect fro Monday 31 March 2025 to Thursday 17 April 2025.

To accommodate the Easter and Anzac Day holiday periods, the road will be temporarily reopened as a gravel road and at a reduced speed. It will be closed again from Tuesday, 29 April 2025 to 30 May 2025.

As the road will be fully closed during this period, a detour will be in place via Pine Hill Road. Additional works may also occur between Elizabeth Street and Showground Road; however these works will be undertaken using short term traffic control and not require detours. Please expect delays and follow detour routes during both closure periods.
