Set up camp by the riverside in Murrumbidgee Valley National Park’s MIA 1 area, just a short drive from Narrandera and nearby Yanco. With 17 camping spots to choose from, you can easily find the perfect spot to make your own.
Whether you’re keen to cast a line into the Murrumbidgee River or paddle its waters by kayak, you’ll find plenty to explore. As you explore the area, keep an eye out for native birdlife like the little eagle, crested shrike-tit, grey-crowned babbler, and superb parrot, plus a variety of honeyeaters and cormorants.
Keep in mind that all roads within this area are unsealed and 4WD vehicles are recommended for wet conditions. Campervans and RVs are welcome, though not all campgrounds are suited for larger vehicles.
To get there, head to the “Graham’s Grave” entrance, about 18 kilometres southeast of Yanco along the Irrigation Way. From there, it’s a scenic 2-kilometre drive to Graham’s Grave beach.
