Seniors are a treasured group within our community, and Council is committed to ensuring they are welcomed, included, valued and have access to all that our community has to offer. Council provides access to information for Seniors on all aspects of community life.
Council also works with community groups to deliver seniors events and programs, such as supporting the NSW Seniors Festival.
In 2016 Council adopted the Narrandera Shire Positive Aging Strategy 2016-2021 which is designed to plan for the creation of an age friendly community by enhancing the quality of life for older people. This is achieved through the provision of opportunities for improving and preserving a person’s health, their independence, their degree of personal responsibility and their participation and security in the community.
