Flora and Fauna Reserve

Visit our beautiful Flora and Fauna Reserve, nestled between Lake Talbot and the Murrumbidgee River. With kilometres of walking tracks wind among the River Red Gums and each turn will bring you face-to-face with our remarkable wildlife. The Reserve is home to over 39 species of birds and eight species of mammal, including our resident colony of koalas. Lucky visitors may even spot a shy swamp wallaby, rakali or platypus.

Enjoy a picnic at First or Second Beach, spend the day fishing in the Murrumbidgee, or take a drive, walk, or bike ride amongst the Red Gums.

The Reserve backs onto the Narrandera Nature Reserve (Koala Park) precinct of Murrumbidgee Valley National Park, which is open to visitors year-round. Please note that while dogs are permitted on leads within the Flora and Fauna Reserve, they are not permitted within the National Park reserve. Camping is not permitted within the Narrandera Flora and Fauna Reserve or National Park reserve at any time.

For the safety of the public, during and following rainfall the Reserve is often closed due to the changed road conditions.
